Offense Wins Games... Volume II (Historic Offenses of Euroleague's History)

In this part, I'll talk about the best offensive teams of the Euroleague history since Season 2000-01. First of all, I want to mention about something. It's hard to compare performances of two different seasons. Since the dynamics of the league changes every year, same stats do not necessarily represent same effort. We tried to eliminate this differences by using every season's mean values and standard deviations for every stat we used. Still, there could be some inaccuracies we overlooked. But, remember none of our formulas are static, we are always trying to improve them.

Now, let's find out who were the best offensive teams of last 12 years.

We have 4 Obradovic and 3 Ivanovic which didn't surprise me at all. There is nothing much to say about Zeljko. He is one of the greatest coach ever, I believe. As for Ivanovic, his offensive sets are not easy to apply. He has a little bit complex offensive plays, yet it's obvious that when his players learn how to carry out those plays, they become great offensive teams.  Also we have 3 David Blatt with 2 different teams which proves his being great offensive coach is not a coincidence.

Besides, I want to mention about a team which is one my favorite teams of all time. Pini Gershon's Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2004-05. What a awesome roster they had. They were one of the smoothest offensive teams of all.

Finally, I want to say a couple of words about coaches who were also in the Top 20 list of best defensive teams; Xavier Pascual, Jonas Kazlauskas,Dusan Ivkovic and Simone Pianigiani. It's not easy to become part of these two Top 20 lists, so respect.
